Update for Ongoing Tornado Recovery Efforts
ENID, OK (May 21, 2026) – The City of Enid continues coordinated recovery efforts following the recent tornado, with support from local partners.
LANDFILL: The City has collected 4,780 tons of storm debris with assistance from local, county, and state partners. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
RESOURCE CENTER: The Resource Center formerly located at the Church of the Plains, 4205 S. Van Buren Street in Enid, and the Forward Staging Area (FSA) will officially close on Sunday, May31. The City extends its sincere appreciation to the Denny Price Family YMCA for the use of its facility during recovery operations.

ONGOING RECOVERY AND INFRASTRUCTURE WORK: In addition to volunteer cleanup efforts, planning is underway to continue removal of concrete foundations in impacted areas as part of long-term recovery and rebuilding operations.
VOLUNTEERS / SPONSER A FARM: Seven additional farms have recently requested assistance as cleanup and recovery operations continue. Organizations, churches, nonprofits, and civic groups are encouraged to “Sponsor a Farm” by partnering directly with impacted agricultural families. Sponsoring a farm involves assigning a point of contact from your organization to work directly with a farmer, identify their needs, and coordinate volunteers and assistance efforts. SBA RECOVERY ASSISTANCE: The Small Business Administration (SBA) will be available to assist homeowners with potential financial recovery resources, including possible rebuilding loans, offset by insurance payouts. SBA will close their in-person services on Friday, May 22nd.
