The City of Enid welcomes your business. In order to successfully start your business, a license may be required. Listed below are the various licenses required and issued by the City of Enid. All licenses are issued by and paid for in the office of the City Clerk, 401 West Owen K. Garriott Road, Enid, OK 73701. The following applications are available and may be downloaded for your use:

Alarm Permit

Initial Fee: $10.00
Renewal Fee: $10.00
Expiration Date: Annually on December 31.

Ambulance Company

Initial Fee: $250.00
Renewal Fee: $250.00
Expiration Date: Annually on June 30.
Other: Liability insurance required by ordinance.

Ambulance Driver

Initial Fee: $25.00
Renewal Fee: $25.00
Expiration Date: Annually on June 30.
Other: Background investigation required.

Arborist (Tree Trimmer)

Initial Fee: $20.00
Renewal Fee: $20.00
Expiration Date: Annual renewal based on initial date of issuance.
Other: Must obtain a grade of at least seventy-five percent (75%) on an examination administered by the Code Department to determine knowledge and experience to engage in the business as an arborist; Bond and/or liability insurance required by ordinance.

Child Care

Initial Fee: $35.00
Renewal Fee: $35.00
Expiration Date: Annual renewal based on initial date of issuance.
Other: Must provide proof of State license and current Health Department inspection.

Demolition Contractor

Initial Fee: $300.00
Renewal Fee: $50.00
Expiration Date: Annually on June 30.
Other: Cash or surety bond is required by ordinance.

Drive-in Restaurant

Initial Fee: $75.00
Renewal Fee: $75.00
Expiration Date: Annual renewal based on initial date of issuance.
Other: Must provide proof of current Health Department inspection and Oklahoma sales tax permit.

Electrical Contractor (Active)

Initial Fee: $300.00
Renewal Fee: $100.00
Expiration Date: Annually on July 31.
Other: Must provide proof of State license.

Electrical Contractor (Inactive)

Initial Fee: $50.00 plus $2.50 for each space over twenty (20) spaces
Renewal Fee: $50.00 plus $2.50 for each space over twenty (20) spaces

Mobile Food Vendor

Annual Fee: $35.00
Other: Must provide proof of valid food establishment license issued by the Oklahoma State Commissioner of Health.
Must provide that the mobile food vendor has passed any required fire inspection within the previous twelve (12) months.
Must provide a copy of the mobile food vendor's Oklahoma State Tax permit.
Must provide a list of locations and duration of time that the mobile food vendor will operate. Applicant has a duty to update the City Clerk of any changes in or additions of location(s) and /or duration of time that the mobile food vendor will operate during license term.

Nursing Home

Initial Fee: $75.00
Renewal Fee: $75.00
Expiration Date: Annual renewal based on initial date of issuance.
Other: Must provide proof of current Health Department inspection.

Oil and/or Gas Permits

Solicitors

Initial Fee: $5.00 per day or $25.00 per month
Renewal Fee: $5.00 per day or $25.00 per month
Expiration Date: Monthly renewal based on initial date of issuance.
Other: Photo ID and Oklahoma Sales Tax Permit required. Investigation of the applicant’s business and moral character will be conducted. Both the company represented and the solicitor must be licensed.
