Temporary Road Closure on Portions of West Yale for Asphalt Overlay

ENID, OK (September 22, 2025) –

Big changes are on the way for West Yale Avenue! Beginning Monday, September 22 through Thursday, September 25, crews will be hard at work resurfacing the roadway to provide a smoother, safer drive for residents and visitors.

WHERE: West Yale Avenue, from North Jefferson Street to North Washington Street.

WHY: A fresh asphalt overlay to improve driving conditions and extend the life of the road.

IMPACT: This section of the road will be closed to all traffic, and driveway access will be unavailable during construction. Residents are encouraged to find alternative parking nearby.

The project is expected to take about four days, weather permitting. While crews are working, motorists are asked to follow posted signs and use extreme caution when traveling near the area.

This improvement project is part of the City of Enid’s ongoing effort to keep our streets safe, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone who lives, works, and visits our community.
