Asphalt Overlay on West Yale Avenue Begins September 29th

ENID, OK (September 24, 2025) –

Great news for drivers: The City of Enid Street Department is rolling out improvements that will make traveling along West Yale Avenue smoother and safer.

WHAT: Road closure for asphalt overlay

WHEN: Monday, September 29 – Friday, October 3

WHERE: West Yale Avenue from North Jefferson Street to North Madison Street

WHY: To resurface and improve the roadway for residents and visitors

To complete this important project, crews will close portions of West Yale Avenue to through traffic. During this time, residents along the construction zone are asked to use alternative parking since driveways will not be accessible.

The project is expected to take five days, weather permitting. Motorists should plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and drive carefully around the work zone to keep both workers and drivers safe.

“This overlay is a big step toward extending the life of our streets and creating a better driving experience for everyone who travels through Enid,” said City officials.
