WHAT: School Zone Beacon Testing

WHEN: Wednesday, August 5 to Thursday, August 6

WHERE: All school zones in the Enid area

WHY: To prepare for the new school year

DETAILS: Technical Services announced they will be testing and programming all the school zone beacons throughout the city this week, to prepare for the upcoming school year, including Chisholm Public Schools, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Schools, Enid Public Schools and all other school beacons within Enid city limits.

Beacon schedules will be programmed according to the current school district calendars, which are available online.

During testing, motorists are reminded to always obey all traffic laws and all posted speed limits in all school zones, even during testing, and to drive with extreme caution.
