City of Enid to host Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event at Crosslin Park

WHAT: Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

WHEN: Saturday, May 2nd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: Crosslin Park, 1520 W Oxford Avenue, Enid, OK

DETAILS: The City of Enid will host its Annual Earth Day Celebration at Crosslin Park on Saturday, May 2nd. The event will include hazardous waste collection, recycling, food trucks and earth friendly fun for the family.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection participants should enter from 1520 W. Oxford Avenue and should refer to the following list concerning accepted and non-accepted materials and recyclables.

ACCEPTED ITEMS
• Pesticides / herbicides
• Oil-based paints & stains
• Lawn care products
• Pool chemicals
• Old fuels
• Craft & hobby supplies
• Pharmaceuticals

 

ACCEPTED RECYCLABLES
• Cardboard
• Paper
• Aluminum cans
• Tin cans
• #1 and #2 plastics

 

NOT ACCEPTED
• Commercial waste
• Ammunition / explosives
• Medical or infectious waste
• Radioactive waste
• Mixed chemicals
