Enid Walk of Fame Ceremony to Honor Frantz and Dense Rescheduled ENID, OK (September 13, 2026) – Due to scheduling conflicts, the 2026 Walk of Fame ceremony has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 4 p.m. in Grand Ballroom C of the Stride Bank Center. The Enid Walk of Fame award is bestowed upon individuals who have:
James “Doug” Frantz, the living honoree, has devoted his life to service through military sacrifice, civic leadership and volunteerism. A Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Frantz became a respected business and community leader following his military service. He served as president of the Rotary Club of Enid and Enid Noon AMBUCS, supported numerous nonprofit organizations and served two terms as Mayor of Enid. His dedication to improving the quality of life for others has made a lasting difference in the community. Robert W. “Bob” Dense, the posthumous honoree, was a successful businessman, community leader and volunteer whose influence helped shape Enid for more than five decades. As president and CEO of Dense Mechanical Contractors, he built a successful company while dedicating himself to civic service. Dense served in leadership roles with the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce, St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital, Enid Rotary Club, United Way of Enid and numerous educational, cultural and charitable organizations. His commitment to mentoring youth, supporting local causes and strengthening community institutions left a lasting impact on Enid.
