EXTENDED Road Closure for Waterline Construction on Boomer Road
WHAT: Construction on the Ames Raw Water Transmission Main
WHEN: Friday, August 29th through Friday, September 5th
WHERE: Boomer Road from Fox Drive to Wheat Capital Road
WHY: Construction of a new transmission main
DETAILS: There will be an extension for the road closure on a portion of Boomer Road, between Fox Drive and Wheat Capital Road, allowing contractors to trench the line across the road.
This extension occurred as a result of adverse weather conditions.
As always, this closure will be contingent on weather.
Motorists are encouraged to follow posted traffic control signs and to drive with extreme caution in this area during construction.
