Frank Baker is very proud to be back serving on the Enid City Commission.

Prior to his appointment as Ward 3 Commissioner, Baker had served as the City of Enid Ward 4 Commissioner in the 90's.

He was born in Enid. Frank was raised on the family farm near Kremlin until the family moved to Enid when he was 12. He attended Enid schools, graduating from Enid High School.

Baker's career has been spent in the media. Broadcast, print and more recently, digital with Enid Buzz. He started in radio while still at Enid High, working as a disc jockey for local station KCRC. He continued his broadcast career while on active duty with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era, stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He returned to Oklahoma after his discharge, returning to college and working in the broadcast industry.

Baker has a Bachelor's Degree in History from Phillips University and pursued graduate studies in Latin American History at Oklahoma State University,

He's married to Carmen Ball, the Executive Director of Hedges Regional Speech and Hearing Center. Ball also serves on the Autry Tech Center School Board. They have been married for over 30 years. They are extremely active in the community, particularly Gaslight Theatre, where they are both past presidents. Frank and Carmen  are members of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.

He's been an eastside Enid resident for over 40 years.
