Fire Civil Service Commission

Created by Charter for the purpose of carrying into effect and enforcing the provisions of the civil service laws of the Fire Department of the City of Enid, the Fire Civil Service Commission provides uniformed fire employees with a quasi-judicial process for hearings on appeals concerning disciplinary actions, examination and testing, and other related issues.  The Commission also enforces all rules for the classification of officers, places, and employments in the Fire Department, and for appointments and promotions therein and examinations thereof.

Board Membership and Qualifications:  Five members, four who are citizens of Enid, and one who shall be a member of the Enid Fire Department and act as secretary to said Commission.

Terms of Office:  Six years.

Meeting Schedule:  Meets on call as needed.
