City of Enid Amends March 20th Emergency Declaration

ENID, OK (March 27, 2020) – Mayor George Pankonin signed an amended emergency declaration mirroring Governor’s Stitt’s executive order in order to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

CoronavirusThe amended emergency declaration defines and provides for the following:

  • City of Enid facility closures
  • Stay at Home order
  • Social distancing requirements
  • Cessation of non-essential business
  • Defines essential businesses
  • Defines essential activities

The amended emergency declaration will begin Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 11:59PM. The declarations and regulations shall expire at 11:59 p.m. on April 16, 2020, unless and until it is extended, rescinded, superseded, or amended in writing.

Mayor George Pankonin said, “We have made it through many devastating events, but nothing quite like this. I know we will make it through this difficult time. Take care of your families; take care of your neighbors; maintain social distancing; and be strong Enid! “
