Notice of Public Hearing and Notice of Availability of the Proposed FY26 Annual Action Plan of Activities for Housing and Community Development Strategies to Be Submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to All Interested Agencies, Groups, and Individuals:
The City of Enid, in consultation with local service providers, agencies, and individuals, has prepared the FY26 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The City of Enid invites and encourages all interested citizens, agencies, non-profit organizations, and other interested parties to attend the final public hearing regarding the plan. The hearing and submission of the proposed plan for approval to the Mayor and City Commission is scheduled for:
May 5, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Enid City Commission in the City Commission Chambers located in the City Administration Building, 401 W. Owen K. Garriott Rd, Enid, OK.
The proposed FY26 Annual Action Plan, with recommended projects focused on benefiting low-to-moderate income residents, is available for review at the following locations:

The City of Enid encourages citizen participation and is initiating a 30-day comment period, which will begin on April 14, 2026, and end on May 14, 2026. Comments can be submitted in writing to City of Enid, CDBG Department, P.O. Box 1768, Enid, OK 73702 or via email to CDBG@enid.org. To request information or to make inquiry, call (580) 616-7211. If special accommodations are needed, please contact the CDBG Department by April 28, 2026. The City of Enid will submit the Annual Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development May 15, 2026.

- Foster decent housing, public housing improvements, and resident initiatives
- Evaluate and reduce lead-based paint hazards
- Reduce the number of persons below the poverty line

Federal law prohibits housing discrimination based on your race, color, national origin, religion, sex, family status, or disability. If you have been trying to buy or rent a home or apartment and you believe your rights have been violated, you can file a fair housing complaint. You have one year after an alleged violation to file a complaint with HUD, but it is important to file it as soon as possible. Contact the Fair Housing Coordinator for assistance. Did you know all dwellings are required to be structurally sound and all electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and other facilities in good and safe working order? The City of Enid is committed to the health, safety and welfare of its citizens. If you are a tenant and have concerns about the safety of your home or apartment we offer free home inspections to identify potential hazards and repair needs should they be detected. For more information contact the Code Department at 580-616-7213 and speak with one of our inspectors Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
