SISTER CITIES INTERNATIONAL BOARD
Advisory to the City Commission on matters relating to international culture and educational exchange, global economic development, and tourism.
Purpose:
• To plan and organize an annual Sister Cities International observance;
• To make recommendations to the Mayor and City Commissioners concerning the need for international partnerships in the interest of cultural and educational exchange, global business development, and tourism;
• To facilitate and encourage mutually beneficial international exchange in the interest of citizen diplomacy between Enid and other cities throughout the world.
Board Membership and Qualifications: Seven members comprised of the following:
• A Commissioner of the City of Enid;
• A representative of the city of Enid’s Higher Education System;
• A representative of the Enid Development Alliance or Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce;
• A representative from the Enid Convention and Visitor’s Bureau;
• Three civic representatives of the city of Enid;
Terms of Office: Three years.
