The Enid Economic Development Authority (EEDA) and the City of Enid, in cooperation with the Enid/Garfield Co. Development Alliance, have launched a utility assistance program designed to help employers recruit workers.

For the first three bills after the City of Enid utilities are activated, the EEDA will pay the City of Enid
water, sewer, and trash utilities on behalf of the employee. The City of Enid is also waiving the utility
activation fee and deposit.

Requirements:

  1. Relocate to Enid from an area that is 50 miles away or greater
  2. Family income less than $40,000 annually
  3. Letter of verification from their employer stating the employee meets the program requirements.

New employees must provide a letter from their employer stating that the employee meets all the program requirements. The letter must be presented prior to or when establishing utility service with the City of Enid. The $50,000 cap cannot be exceeded in the current fiscal year. Funds will be available on a first come, first served bases. The program will be evaluated prior to the end of the current fiscal year and is subject to funding at all times.

Please notify the Utility Services Department if the employee terminates within the first 90 days of employment.
