Description: Makes recommendations to and assists the City of Enid in the planning and operation of all parks owned and operated by the City.
Purpose:
- To serve in a capacity of advice and assistance to the City of Enid in the planning and operation of all parks owned and operated by the City;
- To advise and recommend plans for the development of parks;
- To advise with respect to the overall coordination of the park program;
- To inform and instruct the public on matters involving City parks;
- To promote the use of parks both by individual initiative and recreational programs as appropriate.
Board Membership and Qualifications: Eight members, seven of whom are residents of Enid, and one representative from the Mayor and Board of Commissioners.
Terms of Office: Three years.
