Having been born and raised in Oklahoma and graduating high school in Edmond, Mike attended Oklahoma State University from 1988 until 1992. While working in retail sales in Stillwater, Mike started a furniture repair and refinishing business. After the first year, Mike Stuber brought his fledgling business to Enid in 1997 from Stillwater, after ascertaining that a clear majority of the revenue was coming from Enid and the surrounding area. Mike’s business grew steadily, while building a solid reputation for quality work and service until health concerns deemed it necessary to change vocations and leave the industry in 2008. Mike started in a design/sales position with Pioneer Security, a division of Pioneer Telephone Cooperative in April 2007 and is currently in the same position, covering the north half of Oklahoma working with residential, commercial and government clients.
While in Enid, Mike has been involved in a number of clubs, boards, and projects, ranging from Christmas in April board, Miss Enid Pageant, Enid Noon Ambucs, City of Enid Park Board, City of Enid Community Relations Board, Children’s council at First United Methodist Church of Enid, Leadership Greater Enid (class XVIII), Greater Enid Young Professionals, United Way fundraising campaigns, PRCA Cherokee Strip Stampede Rodeo board along with many other committees and groups. In 2006, Mike founded and chaired the first annual Tour de Trykes bicycle ride in Enid, Ok. This event raises funds to purchase Amtrykes for people with disabilities and for other charitable project through the Enid Noon Ambucs. In 2010, this event netted over $20,000.00 toward these goals, while bringing riders from 6 different states to Enid to participate in the event.
Mike Stuber has an 11 year old daughter and a 9 year old son that both attend Enid Public Schools and participate in several extra-curricular activities. Spending time outside, camping, walking, riding bicycles, playing catch, golfing, listening to music and reading are some of the activities that Mike enjoys when he has free time.
