ENID, OK (August 24, 2012) – The City of Enid, Oklahoma is taking applications for vacancies on the following Boards:
METROPOLITAN AREA PLANNING COMMISSION
• One vacancy to be filled by a resident of the city of Enid for a period of three (3) years or more immediately preceding his/her appointment, to fill an unexpired term to March 1, 2015. Applicants shall hold no other municipal office except those expressly provided for by State law.
LIBRARY BOARD
• One vacancy to be filled by any interested citizen of the city of Enid, to fill an unexpired term to May 2013.
ENID PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
• One vacancy to be filled by any interested citizen of the city of Enid, to fill an unexpired term to March 1, 2013.
DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. HOLIDAY COMMISSION
• One vacancy to be filled by any interested citizen of the city of Enid, to fill an unexpired term to March 1, 2014.
MEADOWLAKE GOLF COURSE ADVISORY BOARD
• One vacancy to be filled by a Meadowlake golfer who has demonstrated playing at least 30 rounds of golf per year, to fill an unexpired term to March 1, 2015.
SISTER CITIES INTERNATIONAL BOARD
• One vacancy to be filled by a civic representative of the city of Enid, to fill an unexpired term to November 1, 2014.
Applications will be accepted until 5:00 P.M. local time on September 4, 2012. It is intended that these appointments will be made by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners at their meeting of September 18, 2012. The City Commission may, at its discretion, conduct interviews with applicants prior to such appointments.
