The City of Enid has issued a city wide burn ban. This ban will follow the same guidelines that are used during a county wide or Governor declared burn ban.
- Welding/Cutting Torch/Grinding Activities when conducted over a non-combustible surface of at least 20 by 20 fee, and when appropriate screens or blankets are used over vegetation with the following conditions:
- Wind speeds are less than 15 mph and;
- A fire watch, other than the welder is posted at the welding, cutting, or grinding site with pressurized water or fire extinguisher suitable for the situation.
- Outdoor recreational/camp fires are prohibited; LP and charcoal-fired cooking is acceptable outside in an grilling receptacle/appliance, provided that the activity is conducted over a non-flammable surface at least five feet from flammable vegetation.
