Union Pacific Railroad Closures

ENID, OK (June 29, 2012) – Beginning Monday, July 2, 2012, crews will begin a series of repair work on railroad crossings throughout Enid.

Beginning Monday, July 2, 2012, Broadway Avenue will be closed between 2nd Street and 4th Street for track repairs. This crossing will be closed also on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, as crews lay asphalt.

On Tuesday, July 3, 2012, Chestnut Avenue will be closed between 4th Street and 5th Street for track repairs. This crossing will be closed also on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, as crews lay asphalt.

On Wednesday, July 4, 2012, Randolph Avenue will be closed between 2nd Street and 4th Street for track repairs. This crossing will be closed also on Thursday, July 5, 2012, as crews lay asphalt.

On Thursday, July 5, 2012, US-412 (Owen K. Garriott Road) will be closed between Grand Avenue and 2nd Street for track repairs. This crossing will be closed also on Friday, July 6, 2012 as crews lay asphalt. Highway and truck traffic will be detoured to 30th Street, Willow Road, and North Van Buren as alternate routes. Local traffic may use Main Street as an alternate route.

All repairs and laying of asphalt are expected to take approximately two days. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes and to use extreme caution whenever entering any construction zone.
