Survey To Be Mailed To Citizens
ENID, OK (April 16, 2012) - Between April 18th-20th, five thousand randomly selected citizens will receive surveys on behalf of the City of Enid. The City of Enid has contracted Management Learning Laboratories of Winston-Salem, NC, to conduct a community needs assessment to review the recreation and leisure needs of Enid residents. This survey will be used as one of the several tools in the development of the City of Enid’s Master Parks Plan.
Previously, the City of Enid hosted a public meeting on March 1st and 2nd, where members of the public were invited through various media outlets including the City of Enid’s website, facebook and twitter pages and the Enid News & Eagle, to attend the meeting. Consulting group, Howell & Vancuren were also introduced as chief consultants for the Master Parks Plan.
Citizens receiving the surveys are encouraged to complete the surveys within three weeks of receiving the letter. Those wishing to complete the survey online can do so at the address provided in the letter. Citizens who do not receive a letter may complete the survey online at a later date. City staff and Howell & Vancuren will also be taking public comments through various upcoming public meetings.
The Master Parks Plan will truly be a plan of the community, formed out of the needs that the Citizens of Enid feel are most important to them. Citizens are encouraged to be aware of public meeting notices on the City of Enid’s website (www.enid.org) and facebook page as well as public meeting notices in the Enid News & Eagle.
