Ronald Janzen was born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma where he met his wife, Marcia of 51 years. He attended school in Enid, graduated from Enid High School and also completed his undergraduate degree with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Phillips University. He and his wife have three children.
He began his career working for the Social Security Administration for 39 years, with the last 23 years serving as District Manager, and retiring in April of 2000. Later, he was hired by the City of Enid to be the Park Projects Coordinator from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Janzen was elected and served on the Enid City Council from 1987 to 1991 and the Enid Park Board from 1973 to 2007 while serving several terms as Park Board Chairman. Mr. Janzen was also one of the founders of Enid Mobile Meals, Inc. in 1973. He served as Vice President of Enid Mobile Meals from 1973 to 1978 and President from 1978 to 2002. He currently still delivers meals weekly.
Ron Janzen has been an active member of Enid Noon AMBUCS since 1970, having served as Treasurer from 1981 to 2000 and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He also serves as a board member and a past president of Enid Beautiful. Mr. Janzen looks forward to serving the Enid Community again as a member of City Council.
