Uniform Services Division

Uniform Services is commanded by Captain Bryan Skaggs.  The command structure is three (3) Lieutenants and ten (10) Sergeants who supervise fifty-seven (57) Officers. Individuals assigned to the Uniform Services Division comprise the uniformed officers who primarily patrol the City of Enid in marked police cruisers. This also includes traffic enforcement officers whose primary function is the enforcement of traffic laws and accident investigations within the City of Enid.  Although the list of services Patrol and Traffic officers provide is too lengthy to mention here, in general these officers are responsible for:

  • Enforcing city ordinances, state laws, and federal statutes
  • Preserving the public peace
  • Preventing, detecting, and investigating crimes
  • Protecting lives, property, and individual rights
  • Apprehending and prosecuting offenders
  • Investigation of both injury and non-injury accidents

Also included under the Uniform Services Division is SWAT. Members of the SWAT team are Officers from all areas in the department who have received specialized training in dealing with the service of high-risk warrants, barricaded individuals as well as subjects or situations with the high probability for violence.
