Employees Receive Roads Scholar Certificates
ENID, OK (March 6, 2019) –
Everett Glenn, Director of Public Works and Brian Bruce, Street Supervisor, City of Enid, recently received a Certificate of Completion of the Roads Scholar Program offered through the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), an extension program of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University. Both certificates were presented on March 5, 2019 during the Enid City Council Meeting.
The Roads Scholar Program, which began in Oklahoma in 1993, is an educational series designed specifically for County Commissioners, County Road Foremen, City Public Works Officials, Tribal Officials, and the employees of public agencies responsible for transportation infrastructure.
The program’s purpose is to provide these individuals with a basic education in the civil engineering-related and other technical aspects of their jobs. It consists of eight courses, totaling 112 hours, which relate to road and bridge maintenance, construction, and repair.
