City Leadership Offers Message about Veterans Day

ENID, OK (November 7, 2018) –

Mayor Bill Shewey issued the following statement regarding the Veterans Day holiday: “I have always been very appreciative that we honor our veterans. Their service is what makes America a great place in which to live.”

City Manager Jerald Gilbert offered this Veteran’s Day message: “I am thankful for all the Veterans who have served and sacrificed! The City appreciates your service!”

In observance of the Veteran’s Day holiday, the City of Enid Administration offices will be closed on Monday, November 12th.

City of Enid Solid Waste officials announced the Monday trash route will not be collected on November 12th; however, Monday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday, November 14th. Residents are encouraged to place yard waste containers out with normal trash for this week and leave a space of four feet between carts.

The Recycle Center, Enid Public Library, and EPTA will be closed on Monday; however, Meadowlake golf course will be open for business.

The landfill will be open on Monday, November 12th with operating hours from 7:00 AM – 2:00PM.
