Construction Slowed on Cleveland Chestnut
ENID, OK (October 4, 2018) –
The recent wet weather has made a significant impact on the construction on Cleveland Street and the intersection with Chestnut Avenue. Additionally, a conflict of a proposed drainage pipe and waterline was discovered.
According to City of Enid Engineering officials, it was determined the planned 30 inch stormwater piping on the south side of Chestnut Avenue would be too close to the older existing 24 inch waterline. Therefore, the relocation plan allowed the pipe size to be reduced to 18 inches and moved to the curb line. This allows for the needed separation between the two utilities. The change in the project has been submitted to ODOT for consideration.
City officials are hopeful construction will be ramped up soon.
