CANCELED: Railroad Crossing Closings

This work has been postponed by the railway! There is no new project date at this time.


ENID, OK (August 3, 2018) –

A joint Union Pacific/BNSF Railway project to test the rail crossing safety equipment in Enid, OK is currently scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the following crossings:

  • The crossing at East Chestnut Ave and North 4th Street will be closed to all traffic between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • The crossings at Randolph Ave and Broadway Ave, between 2nd and 4th Streets, will be closed periodically between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and will be attended by flag men to safely direct traffic as authorized by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). 

The public is encouraged to use alternate routes and should use extreme care when approaching these rail crossings and the attending flag men.
